3 Mojito Tweaks You Need To Try Before The Summer Ends
What better way to celebrate the season than a fun collection of mojitos! It is a classic summertime drink – citrus-y, light and refreshing. It cools you down and it has got a bit of an edge to it, which keeps the mood festive.
Before the season ends, try these hacks to the classic mint-and-lime cocktail:
Iced Green Tea Mojito
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 4 large spearmint leaves, plus more for garnish
- 4 baby Rocket(arugula) leaves
- 1/4 cup sugar syrup
- 1/2 cup brewed green tea, chilled
- 30 ml white rum
Muddle the lime juice, mint, arugula, and sugar together in a tall glass until the leaves bruise lightly and the flavors release. Add ice until glass is about 3/4 full and then pour in rum and green tea. Stir well and garnish with mint and lime.
- 15 mint leaves
- 1/4 cup aged rum
- fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup chilled Champagne
- orange twist
In a highball glass, add the mint leaves. Fill the glass with ice, add the rum and lime juice and stir gently. Top with the chilled Champagne and garnish with the orange twist.
Fresh Blueberry Mojito
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 20 medium mint leaves
- 1/2 cup rum
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
Add a large ice cube to two rocks glasses and set aside. In a cocktail shaker, mix the blueberries and mint until well done. Add the rum and lime juice to the shaker. Add ice to the shaker, cover, and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. Strain the cocktail, allowing some of the mint and blueberry pieces to flow through, into the prepared glasses.
